Wonderful list, Julian! I particularly like the list of biographies, and can't wait to read "Losing My Virginity"... I didn't even know that one existed!

Thanks for the link love, too. I sure do appreciate it! :)

Julian,
Love these little tidbits. My personal favorites are: #4, #7, #10 (so true!), #25, and finally who could do without #33?

Hi Julian,

What a great post and thank you for suggesting a visit to our site:) I particularly like point two on your list. Having something to look forward to is great. I'm glad you made the point of saying it doesn't have to be anywhere exotic or expensive it's been our experience -- the more lame the better :) And point 28 is SO true. I've been taking yoga for a while now and it's amazing how breathing properly works wonders on your mood!

A well thought out post! I find that meditation does wonders for me.Plus your suggestions about doing things out of the norm (#15) can really help break the monotony. In addition strengthening family, especially in these tough economic times, is very sound advise!

So true Paul, and Wordsworth would know since his words show he was obviously a very spiritual man.

To your first point, I think the spiritual importance of nature doesn't get nearly enough airplay in discussions of the environment. I like these lines from William Wordsworth:

One impulse from a vernal wood
May teach you more of man
Of moral evil and of good
Than all the sages can.
