Yeah everyone's different, I suppose I am more of a morning person, it just doesn't work for me doing these sorts of things in the evening but I hope they help you.

5am, I'm impressed - I'm a 6am during the week and around 8am on weekends kind of person (with the occasional big sleep in - easier for me as I don't have kids!).

I follow something similar:

Weekdays: Up at 5am, feed and brush the dogs, meditate, make coffee for me & my better half, and focus on being present while getting ready for work.

Weekends: Up at 8:30ish, feed and brush the dogs, make coffee for me & my better half, wake up kids, and we all sit in our bed, drinking coffee (milk for the kids), eating (and spilling) cookies.

I found that waking up early on the weekends eventually caught up with me as I go to bed much later on Friday & Saturday night than any other night. It just leaves me too tired.

I never considered guitar at that time of day - that's a great idea! I'll start running again during the summer months and switch to guitar in the winter.

Good tips, but I'm not a morning person at all. The little time I have before I go to work, I usually squander. I how ever can apply your 6 principles to my evening routines...
