I started my diary (I call it "the book") on Sunday, October 14, 2007. I have not given up on it and have actually written in it every single day since Thursday, July 31, 2008 (my return from a Germany trip). It is now about 900,000 words long. I feel rather smug. And I always enjoy doing it - well, nearly always... :)

<a href="#comment-3192">@Bamboo Forest – PunIntended</a>
That's a very interesting point Bamboo, it's all Karma at the end of the day. I agree, the best option is to jump at every possible opportunity as you just never know where it will lead. Did you see that movie '<a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120148/plotsummary">Sliding Doors</a>'? The storyline forks, one where she just missed a train because the doors closed, and the other where she managed to get on before they closed, resulting in very different outcomes.

What if he never was asked to be a clown that one time? Was this the one thing that ensured his path would change?

I wonder about this kind of thing, sometimes. He may not have had "incredible luck" in conventional terms, but he was exposed to something that pushed a button inside him and catapulted him to new vistas.

No doubt it was him and not his circumstance that did it for him. But... had he not had that one opportunity to be a clown, would that something in him awakened anyways, down the line?

These are questions worth asking. And it really makes you think.

I'd argue this is why we should reach out whenever we can. Maybe that one thing we do will be the one thing that changes the destiny of someone forever.

Granted, the person who changed the destiny did it themselves. However... It's amazing how things can trigger change in another.

Oh .. and you forgot the fail-safe way to feel really good about the situation and improve your self respect at the same time ... blame yourself.

Feeling guilty is a great antidote to depression!

He's quite a religious bloke so it might not be everyone's cup of tea, but it has some very sound advice and the title is very apt.
"They may be able to point it out to you in a way you hadn’t seen before."

Yeah. I like this piece.

If you haven't read the book, "Awaken the Giant Within" by Anthony Robbins, I highly recommend it. This book changed my whole outlook on motivation and how to get more of it.

Fantastic!

How about the picture of the cat? The reflection of the window in the eyes, the tree beyond the window, the hint of a man's face in the cat's right pupil? The size difference in pupils because one eye is cast in shadow?

All in a simple picture. :)

Dogs don't lie about Love! Who else in this world loves unconditionally?
We can learn a lot from them if we just observe how they act. They have no agenda just pure love.
